I’m a born inquisitive and a raised problem solver. Nothing lights me up more than learning something new and sharing that knowledge with others. As a neurodivergent individual, my brain often resembles a waterfall of post-it notes scribbled with random tidbits and unexplainable epiphanies. I can tell you the healing properties of fluorite and how to make a mean chocolate chip cookie in the same breath while reprogramming your computer to stream the newest season of a foreign documentary on Icelandic horses.
Originally from Seattle, I evolved in Los Angeles, survived Dallas and am currently creating in Portland. I've worked in the fashion industry for over ten years but have dabbled in other creative industries for longer than that. I hold multiple advanced degrees in fashion and film and consider myself a lifelong learner.
Horses have been a part of my life since before I could walk. I spent every summer at horse camp and the rest of the year begging my parents to take me to the local barn for lessons. My first job was a mix of mucking out stalls and assisting the younger kids with basic horse and riding safety. Over the years I've been lucky enough to try my hand at almost every discipline imaginable from western pleasure to hunter/jumper to mini handling to my current obsession of Icelandic. Combining my love of horses with my creative spirit is how Katie Daly Media came to fruition. I'm happiest with a camera in hand and a horse near my heart.
